Yoga: If your class has practiced Yoga positions with Mr. Tetreault, Blizzard Bag days are a great time to share some of these poses/breaths with your family and friends. Some excellent choices would be:
- Mountain Pose - We start all of our Yoga/Breathing exercises in Mountain Pose. Standing with feet shoulder width apart, hands/arms down at the sides. Standing straight and tall, quiet and still like a mountain.

- Bumble Bee Breath -  1 slow deep through your nose, bzzzzzzz sound as you release/exhale through your mouth.

- Balloon Breath - Your stomach is the balloon, fill it with deep breaths in through your nose, deflate it by exhaling through your mouth. See how full you can safely fill your balloon!

- Bunny Breath -   5 quick breaths in through your nose, and a long “ahhhh” sound as you exhale.

Ask your child about the Hoberman Mini-sphere AKA "breathing ball" to learn how it is used to help them be calm at school. When we are calm we can focus, make better choices, and concentrate on learning.
